In April 1986 Suzanne Vega returned to Europe,
touring again in several countries with the same band: Mike Visceglia on bass, Jon
Gordon on guitar, Sue Evans on drums, and Anton Sanko on
keyboards.
After the European tour, Suzanne performed only
in a handful of occasions through most of the year. With the exception of the participation in The Prince's
Trust, in London, all shows were in the USA. Most notable
was the return to The Speakeasy where Suzanne played two
concerts, with a setlist full of surprises.
In November 1986 Suzanne Vega did a short British tour in
support of the UK success of the single "Marlene On The
Wall". The band had then another change, with Marc Shulman
replacing Jon Gordon on guitar, the other musicians were still:
Mike Visceglia on bass, Sue Evans on drums, and Anton Sanko
on keyboards.
The recording of one show from this tour resulted in the
videotape "Live At The Royal Albert Hall".
The new song "In The Eye", which would be featured
in the following year's album, was tried live, as well as
"Black Widow Station" the last from the early
days never to be recorded for an official album.
