1984 was a breakthrough year in Suzanne Vega's
career with the signing of her first professional contract,
with A&M, and the widening of her touring area, leading
even, at the end of the year, to Suzanne's first concerts
abroad, in Italy where she did 11 dates.
Though I'm not sure, I'm lead to believe that later in the
year Suzanne played accompanied by Jon Gordon on guitar, and
Steve Addabbo on keyboards(??).
Whether alone with her acoustic guitar, or accompanied, Suzanne
Vega performed all the songs from what would be her first
album, the following year, as well as Luka, Tom's Diner, Calypso
and Gypsy, that would be featured in 1987's "Solitude
Standing", and half a dozen other songs never officially
released.
